Users of mobile phones - protect yourself against computer viruses!
I wonder, is there any relation between an ordinary mobile phone, spam and a computer Trojanized program? Strangely enough, it really exists!
And the intermediate linking all of them is the Trojan program. Among numerous ways of global distribution of unsolicited advertising mails actively searched for by spammers, numerous attempts to utilize computer malwares, be it mass mailing worms or Trojans, pick up speed. Another example of it the emergence of the new Trojan program detected by Dr.Web® antivirus as Flooder.SMSka.
The executable file of the Trojan named rundnm.exe, packed with UPX compression utility, is placed to the TEMP directory of the С: drive. It does not carry any harmful payload for the infected machine, neither it contains a self-spreading mechanism. It "only" exploits the computer resources of its victim to send spam-laden messages. The Troj establishes connection with the web-site, obviously of the Russian origin www.vlasof1.narod.ru/sms.txt, and then sends SMS-messages through on-line services of North-West GSM, MTS and TELE2, involving the infected computers (and actually their users) into forced distribution of spam.
The appearance of this malware is a one more reminder for all users that a licensed antivirus software with the daily updating of the virus bases should be used. To purchase Dr.Web® for Windows contact our partners!
