Microsoft identifies the problem related to its erroneous detection of the mail protection module of Dr.Web

Doctor Web, Ltd. has been receiving numerous reports from Dr.Web anti-virus users about a detection of the
mail protection module of Dr.Web for Window (SpIDer Mail® - spiderml.exe) as a backdoor program
by Microsoft Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool
which was released on November 14, 2006.
In relation to these reports, Doctor Web, Ltd. assures its users that no real infection cases have been reported
for spideml.exe module. Doctor Web, Ltd. has notified Microsoft Support Service and is in contact with an appropriate
department of Microsoft Corporation in order to solve this problem. The detection by Microsoft security tool
is identified as a "false positive" and Microsoft is expected to release a correction to it in the
nearest future.
Meanwhile, Doctor Web, Ltd. advises its users to ignore the diagnostic by the above mentioned security tool related to
the spideкml.exe module in Dr.Web directory.
