Doctor Web, Ltd presents its latest achievements at CeBIT 2007
March 26, 2007
It’s for the fourteenth time that the flare of the world's largest CeBIT Expo showcasing digital IT and telecommunications solutions has gone. This year Hannover Fair as usually welcomed a great number of IT experts from all over the world.
CeBIT never stops giving its visitors a pleasure of keeping an eye on new technologies and IT developments. Over 6,000 companies from 60 countries around the world converged in Hanover this year to demonstrate their latest achievements in information technology, telecommunications, network technology, software, multimedia, office automation, banking technology, and financial services.
Doctor web, Ltd. has exhibited its antivirus solutions at CeBIT2007 for the 3d time already. As a matter of fact, it was in Hannover where Dr.Web anti-virus was pushed into the world market. At CeBIT 1993 Igor Danilov’s anti-virus was exhibited for the first time and it received high appreciation of IT specialists ever then. This spring Doctor Web, Ltd. was represented by its experts from Moscow, leading developers from Saint-Petersburg and its daughter company in Germany - Dr. Web (Antivirus) Deutschland GmbH.
What stroke the visitors most were new Dr.Web security solutions, primarily Dr.Web AV Desk.
“While developing the new service we expected it to be of great demand on IT-security market, but hardly ever have we dreamt of its being welcomed that enthusiastically by our targeted customers - telecommunications and international corporations with multi-affiliates structure, along with service providers - as it proved to be at CeBIT2007, - comments Boris Sharov, CEO of Doctor Web, Ltd. – During the Fair we presented Dr.Web AV Desk to the companies concerned, as it was arranged with them in advance. It was not their sheer interest only but the corresponding questions they asked that gave us a pleasant surprise. The latter were exceptionally right and up to the point which only proves that we’ve hit the mark and the service really meets customers’ current requirements!”
As it was foreseen by company experts, open source operating systems (Microsoft Windows’s competitors) have become more popular this year. This shift switched public attention into anti-virus solutions for Linux systems, for instance. DVDs with 2 month distributions of all Dr.Web anti-virus solutions for Windows and UNIX-based systems were handed out to our stand’s visitors like hot cakes.
