Dr.Web for Windows scanner updated version released

Doctor Web, Ltd. announces the release of an updated version of the Dr.Web for Windows scanner which is included Dr.Web for Windows 4.44 anti-virus solution. The update is already available for downloading on company servers and it will be downloaded and installed automatically on the next launch of the Dr.Web automatic updating utility.
A list of changes included in the update:
- Registry curing issue has been fixed;
- Scanner hanging upon check of symbolic links (shortcuts) has been fixed;
- scanner stop during the scanner self-curing has been fixed;
- delayed curing of non-existent files has been fixed;
- memory leak issue at scan initialization and during the scanning has been corrected;
- an issue that caused an emergency shutdown during the files scan or when preparing for scanning has been fixed;
- BSOD ussies at start-up under various configurations of OS have been fixed;
- fixed icons display in files tree, transparency issue has been corrected;
- anti-rootkit module has been improved; new algorithms to counteract rootkits have been added;
- list of services checked during the scanning of autostart objects has been extended;
- с a few changes have been done to the GUI; other minor issues have been fixed.
