Dr.Web Anti-virus for Windows update released

Doctor Web, Ltd. announces the release of an update for Dr.Web Anti-virus for Windows.
The following changes have been done to the components of Dr.Web Anti-virus for Windows v.4.44:
Automatic update module:
-
the module functioning in stealth mode has been fixed;
- minor changes have been done to the GUI and other minor issues have been fixed.
Console scanners:
- an issue that caused scanner termination when the archives were checked has been fixed;
- an issue that caused the scanner hang when checking symbolic links (shortcuts) has been fixed;
- a compatibility issue in Windows Vista has been fixed;
- some errors that occurred when create a log file and write to it have been fixed;
- now one can stop unpacking a large archive or any other package by the anti-virus engine at any moment.
SpIDer Mail:
- all known issues of SpIDer Mail compatibility with other programmes have been fixed;
- now one can create a list of applications, so their traffic won’t be intercepted and scanned by the mail guard
Changes done to the automatic update module 4.33:
- minor changes have been done to the GUI of the programme.
The new version will be automatically downloaded during the next update.
