Another 17 Russian cities get anti-virus as a service with Dr.Web AV-Desk

Doctor Web, Ltd. and Ertelecom CJSC complete Dr.Web AV-Desk tryout and move to the commercial stage of the project.
A reliable protection against viruses and spam by Dr.Web anti-virus becomes available in 17 Russian cities in one go.
Dr.Web AV-Desk is the first Internet service by Doctor Web, Ltd. The service targets ISPs and can be used to deliver anti-virus protection to an unlimited number of subscribers – both home users and companies – and provides a mechanism for centralized management of the service delivery. It is a robust and efficient tool supplying anti-virus and anti-spam protection to users regardless of their geographical location.
The test run of Dr.Web AV-Desk has been conducted by Ertelecom CJSC since January 25, 2008. Subscribers of DOM.RU used Dr.Web anti-virus free of charge for several months.

During this period about 10 per cent of our subscribers installed Dr.Web AV-Desk. In fact we hardly tried to promote the service. Our staff in cooperation with Dr.Web experts made necessary corrections for the service to fulfill demands of subscribers.

All routines are automated, so the program fully complies with the pay&forget principle. Today it is the key to a success on the market. All subscribers of DOM.RU will be able to activate Dr.Web anti-virus protection subscription at USD 2.5 fee – much cheaper than buying an anti-virus in a box. New subscribers of DOM.RU who didn’t participate the testing will be able to use the service free of charge till the end of a of their activation month and get one extra free month.
