Once again Dr.Web AV-Desk has shown perfect results protecting subscribers against viruses and spam. The announcement has been made by Eltel (an ISP in St. Petersburg) that started a commercial phase of the deployment in May 2008.

Under the agreement between Doctor Web, Ltd. and Eltel 25 000 subscribers working in the network of the Internet service provider got access to the service ensuring constant protection of personal computers against viruses, adware, hack-tools and spam.

Dr.Web AV-Desk greatly contributed to the image of the company. Eltel became the first ISP in St. Petersburg that brought the customer care to the new level ensuring comprehensive anti-virus protection.

Eltel has been delivering the service free of charge for two months so subscribers would become familiar with Dr.Web AV-Desk.

“Now we already see that we’ve made a right decision. It is reliable, easy to maintain and to use. Hopefully the service will attract new subscribers and increase their trust in our company”, Andrei Kulikov, the business-development manager of Eltel says.

Many subscribers of Eltel say that the service is not just easy to use but also to enable. There is no need to call for support but enable the service in the personal area of a subscriber.

Following the months when the servers has been accessible to subscribers, technicians of Eltel have already noted numerous benefits. First of all the number of network failures caused by viral activites has decreased. Earlier customers considered such failures as the fault of the ISP, that’s why the deployment of Dr.Web AV-Desk has significantly improved the reputation of the company.
